My name is Cheryl Briggs. I am a teacher in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program in Bucks County, PA.

Through my son, who has Angelman Syndrome, I became interested in computer technology and the internet creating my first website called Angel Land for siblings of children with Angelman Syndrome.

A couple years ago I became aware of a master's degree program in instructional technology that was totally online through Bloomsburg University. Because of my son's needs an online program was ideal for me.

One of my assignments was to create an online learning website. I created one for regular education teachers working with hearing impaired children.

I have also created, through classwork, several different projects utilizing computers although only Pioneer Travel is currently online. Others can eventually be located through Kool Kids Sign Teacher Resources page under the heading of Lesson Plans and Ideas..

When I completed my coursework I did an instructional technology internship at the Clerc Center in Washington, DC.

One thing that I created during my internship was a PowerPoint ABC matching game. That was the basis for my first presentation. It is now available online in a flash version and has been expanded to different versions.
